Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2012-23-10 became effective on Dec. 31, 2012 and requires modifications to certain Zodiac Air Cruisers escape slide rafts P/N D30664-Series and D30665-Series cylinder and valve assembly. The modifications outlined in Zodiac Air Cruisers Service Bulletin A320-004-25-85 require the incorporation of an anti-rotation bracket on the Inflation valve and a new hose assembly. This AD/SB does not require replacement or modification of the inflation cylinder. N23D PMA cylinders used on affected slide raft part numbers can remain in service and can be used with the modified inflation valve assembly. The N23D PMA cylinder is designed to be a direct replacement part and can be used as is without any additional modifications to the OEM slide raft system. Continue maintenance and testing of the N23D cylinder per OEM CMM and applicable DOT regulations.
